Pappper is an AI workspace for worksheets and dossiers. This page explains what we collect and why. The short version: your documents belong to you, we do not sell data, and we collect as little as the service can run on.
- What we store
- Your email address (for sign-in), the documents you import, the markup you draw, your boards, folders, chats with the assistant, assistant notes ("memory"), and usage counters needed to enforce plan limits.
- Guest use
- Without an account, everything you create stays in your browser and never reaches our servers. It moves to your account only when you sign in.
- Sign-in
- Login is passwordless: we email a single-use six-digit code. Codes are stored only as hashes, and session tokens only as hashes.
- AI features
- When you ask the assistant something, the selected region or prompt — plus any context you attached — is sent to third-party AI services to generate a reply. We don't name them here because they change; what is sent is limited to what is needed for your request.
- Payments
- Paid plans are handled by a payment provider. We never see or store your full card details.
- Analytics
- We use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics that respects your browser's Do Not Track setting. No advertising trackers, ever.
- Sharing
- We share data only with the infrastructure, AI and payment providers required to run Pappper, and with no one else. We do not sell personal data.
- Retention & deletion
- Deleted boards stay recoverable in your trash for 60 days, then are permanently purged along with their files. You can delete your content at any time from within the app.
- Your rights
- You can access, export and delete your content in the app. For anything else — including requests about your personal data — write to contact@pappper.com.
